Perfect for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or snacks, these Healthy Yogurt Bowls are full of protein and healthy ingredients to keep you feelin’ energized and ready to tackle your day! Also, they just really taste amazing and take only a few minutes to whip up — DOUBLE WIN!

My yogurt game has seriously changed over the years.
As a kid, I tried a sour school lunch yogurt and couldn’t believe that anyone liked it.
I didn’t try it again until college when my roommate offered one of her bright green key lime Yoplait yogurts, and I thought, “Oh wow, this isn’t bad, and apparently it’s really healthy because that’s what the commercials say,” so that became my lunch routine for many years.
Not surprisingly, my “healthy” lunch left me buzzed and hungry every day, but being the creature of habit I am, I kept on eating the artificially colored/flavored sugar bomb yogurt for lunch.
Fast forward to an older, wiser Marci who now has kids to think about, and I’ve learned that yogurt actually is SUPER healthy as long as it’s done right.
I created this Instant Pot Yogurt recipe in 2016 and I’m STILL making it weekly. Once you’ve had homemade yogurt, there’s just no going back. Storebought tastes so sour and chalky in comparison.
My kids also can tell the difference, and they are 100% on board with “mom’s yogurt” being the best they’ve ever tasted. So proud 🙂
Making yogurt weekly means we eat a lot of yogurt around here.
Sometimes, we keep it simple with just a bowl of yogurt with honey on top, and other times, we go all out with these fancy yogurt bowls I’m showing you today.

These are so fun. I love the flavor combinations, all the textures, and the drizzles . . . THEY’RE JUST SO DANG GOOD!
While making a yogurt bowl doesn’t have to be a “recipe,” the bowls I’m showing you today are some of our favorite flavor combos that we make the most often.
Important Note: While our yogurt bowls are made 100% of the time with Homemade Instant Pot Yogurt (or Skyr), you can definitely use your favorite store-bought brand.
I suggest using an unsweetened variety since these bowls are sweetened with honey or maple syrup.
WHY YOU WILL LOVE YOGURT BOWLS
- HEALTHY: Yogurt is rich in protein, calcium, good bacteria, and more! Add yogurt bowl toppings like nut butter, fruit, etc., and you’ve got a powerhouse meal.
- EASY: If my 11-year-old boys, who claim they don’t know how to make themselves lunch, can whip out a killer yogurt bowl, you know it’s easy and fast.
- VERSATILE: While these four bowls feature my favorite flavor combinations, the options are endless! Use what you have or tweak the ingredients as you like.
HOW TO MAKE MY FAVORITE YOGURT BOWLS – 4 WAYS
I’m quite intentional about how I layer my yogurt bowls. I love certain flavors and textures to hit each other a certain way. If you’re a “throw it in a bowl, it’s all gonna get chewed up anyway” kind of person (lookin’ at you, bro), then you may find this next section silly — just enjoy the pictures 🙂
BERRY LOVE YOGURT BOWLS

Berries and yogurt are a match made in heaven! Start with a bowl of yogurt, add berries of your choice, and drizzle with runny almond butter. Then, add granola and maple syrup over top to make everything sparkle.
TROPICAL SUNSHINE YOGURT BOWL

My kids ADORE this happy bowl! Start with a bowl of yogurt. Add chopped mango, then bananas. Top with a sprinkle of coconut and chopped macadamia nuts. Drizzle with honey to help everything stick together so deliciously.
SWEET PEACH YOGURT BOWL

This is my favorite bowl, and I eat it all summer and early fall while peaches are amazing. Start with a bowl of yogurt and add LOTS of chopped or sliced peaches. Sprinkle with your favorite granola, chopped pecans, and a drizzle of maple syrup or honey. If the peaches are super sweet, I don’t add any sweetener.
CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER BLISS YOGURT BOWL

This would be my daughter’s favorite creation! Start with a bowl of yogurt and add sliced bananas. Sprinkle with cacao nibs or mini chocolate chips, then top with a drizzle of drippy peanut butter and honey.
TIPS FOR SUCCESS
- HOMEMADE IS BEST: I’ll say it again: homemade yogurt is undeniably better than store-bought! It’s so creamy, thick, and tart without being weirdly sour, and there is no hint of bitterness at all.
- DAIRY FREE YOGURT WORKS TOO: If you can’t have dairy, I’ve tried storebought almond yogurt and coconut yogurt and really liked them!
- GO WITH THE SEASON: What you top your yogurt with really depends on the season and what produce is in its prime. Feel free to swap ingredients as needed!
- EAT IT IN ONE SITTING: Yogurt will get runny and kind of sad-looking if you eat half the bowl and then put the rest in the fridge for later, so I suggest you (and your kids) enjoy your bowl in one sitting. That said, if you have a kid with unpredictable eating patterns, throw it back in the fridge for later. I would make sure it’s eaten that same day.
- SWAP AS NEEDED: The bowls here are my favorites, but you can definitely add or subtract any of the ingredients and make it your own.

VARIATIONS – MAKE IT YOUR OWN!
To get you thinking, here are a few bonus yogurt bowl ideas:
- APPLE PIE YOGURT BOWL: Make a batch of these Cinnamon Apples and chill them. Serve on top of yogurt with granola.
- CHIA JAM YOGURT BOWL: Top or swirl this Triple Berry Chia jam into a bowl of yogurt — amazing and adds LOTS of protein.
- BLUEBERRY SYRUP YOGURT BOWL: This Blueberry Syrup is amazing cold over yogurt. No extra sweetener is needed!
- CHOCOLATE SYRUP YOGURT BOWL: Make it look like an ice cream sundae with this Healthy Chocolate Syrup drizzled over top.

There you go, my friends! I hope this post has inspired you to eat more healthy yogurt bowls.
This is a recipe for any time of day and makes people of all ages so happy.
Enjoy!
