This Golden Coffee Creamer, with its golden hue and warm spices, is love in a cup! Add it to coffee, hot chocolate, Crio Bru, or even warm milk for a comforting drink.

There’s something about the “Golden” flavor that makes that “everything is going to be okay” feeling just wash over me like a warm bath.
If you’re not familiar, “golden” drinks use spices like turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, and black pepper to create the most comforting drink ever, surprising you with the tiniest kick of spice.
I first fell in love when I created this Golden Crio Bru and then again when my sister Cami created this Golden Powder Mix.
I thought to myself how amazing it would be to give my morning cup of Crio Bru a creamy Golden kick, and that is how this Golden Coffee Creamer was born.
HOW DOES IT TASTE:
Not to overuse this word on my blog or anything, but it is indeed HEAVENLY.
Before you even taste it, the warm smells of cinnamon and ginger make your heart skip a beat. Your kitchen will become the favorite room of the house (if it isn’t already).
The first sip is cinnamon and ginger forward, and then you get that curious earthy turmeric flavor, followed by the smallest kick of pepper spice in the back of your throat.
Sip it slow and intentionally and you’ll get to enjoy every step of this warm ride.
I swirl this Coffee Creamer into Crio Bru, but you can also use it in coffee, hot chocolate, or milk. My kids love to mix it with hot 2% milk, then use a frother to make it extra, EXTRA frothy.
Whatever you decide to pour it over, this creamer will take it to the “comfy, cozy, happy” level in seconds.

WHY YOU WILL LOVE INSTANT POT GOLDEN COFFEE CREAMER
- CLEAN INGREDIENTS: It’s hard to find a coffee creamer that isn’t full of sugar, artificial flavors, and thickeners. None of that is needed here!
- EASY: This is a quick and easy recipe to make in your Instant Pot and keep in the fridge for a week or so.
- COMFORTING: When I think of comfort food, these flavors and smells are what come to my mind.
HOW TO MAKE GOLDEN COFFEE CREAMER IN THE PRESSURE COOKER
- Add all of the ingredients to the pot; pressure cook
- Hit sauté
- Simmer until thickened

SEE RECIPE CARD BELOW FOR DETAILED COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
TIPS FOR SUCCESS
- USE LITE COCONUT MILK: Full-fat coconut milk tends to get solid chunks once cold. Lite works much better here!
- SWEETENER OPTIONS: I love honey because it makes the creamer such a pretty color, but the maple syrup flavor also goes well with these spices.
- SIMMER TIL THICK, BUT NOT TOO THICK: If you simmer this too long, it can end up having more of a caramel sauce consistency. This is great if you want to serve it over pancakes, but as a creamer, I suggest leaving it a bit thinner.

HOW TO STORE
Cool the creamer, then pour it into a jar or other container that you can pour from. Store in the fridge for a week or so.
OTHER WAYS TO USE GOLDEN COFFEE CREAMER
- SYRUP: If you simmer this creamer until it’s extra thick, it is the most incredible waffle and pancake syrup imaginable!
- TOPPING: It’s also good poured over yogurt or ice cream.
VARIATIONS
- EXTRA SPICY: If you like extra spice, you can increase the pepper or add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
- DIFFERENT MILK: I haven’t tried it, but I suspect this would work with almond milk. I don’t think cow’s milk would pressure cook well; it tends to foam or curdle.
Oh friends, get excited for many, many cozy hot drinks in your near future. This is one of my top favorite recipes on the blog right now. I’m excited for you to try it out!
Enjoy!

Golden Coffee Creamer is a perfectly cozy spiced addition to any hot drink.
- Prep Time: 2 minutes
- Cook Time: 15 minutes
- Total Time: 30 minutes
- Yield: 8 servings 1x
- Category: Drink
- Method: Pressure Cooker
Ingredients
- 14 oz can lite unsweetened coconut milk
- ½ cup pure maple syrup or honey
- 3 cinnamon sticks (Vietnamese are my favorite!)
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
- ½ teaspoon ground ginger
- pinch of black pepper
- pinch of Kosher salt
- 1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Add coconut milk, maple syrup, cinnamon sticks, turmeric, ginger, black pepper, salt, and vanilla to the pressure cooker pot. Whisk until combined.
- Secure the lid and turn pressure release knob to a sealed position. Cook at high pressure for 10 minutes.
- When cooking is complete, use a quick release.
- Using the sauté function, simmer 5-10 minutes, stirring often, to thicken slightly.
- Discard cinnamon sticks.
- Pour into a Mason jar or syrup dispenser.
- Use immediately or store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. Shake well before each use.
Notes
- The longer you let it simmer, the thicker it will be. I like it creamy like storebought creamer, so I simmer it about 6 or 7 minutes. If you simmer it for 10 minutes, it’ll be more of a runny caramel consistency.
- Use LITE coconut milk, preferably the Thai Kitchen brand. Regular coconut milk will harden and separate when refrigerated.
